MEMBERS CONFERENCE 2008

 

 

Youthnet has been working closely with its membership over recent months with a view to developing a set of principles which will underpin the relationship between the voluntary youth sector and new statutory structures established as an outcome of the Review of Public Administration. In the process of developing the principles, Youthnet commissioned the University of Ulster to carry out a consultation process within the voluntary youth sector and provide an independent analysis of the response.  
 

The 2008 Members Conference provided an opportunity for the voluntary youth sector to come together to discuss and debate the findings of the consultation with a view to agreeing a final position on the principles.

The outcomes of the debate were then presented to an invited audience of youth sector stakeholders including representatives from Department of Education, Education and Skills Authority, Education and Library Boards and Youth Council for Northern Ireland.
