Update - 10 July 2010

The Government has decided to review the Vetting and Barring Scheme, which was due to become operational on 26 July 2010. This means that registration with ISA will not commence until the review has taken place.

However, Access NI will continue to process disclosure applications and Individuals working in regulated or controlled activity with children or vulnerable adults should continue to obtain an Enhanced disclosure.

Access NI have went ahead with the introduction of a new application form, which will be used for standard and enhanced disclosures. The new forms are available from the AccessNI website (www.accessni.gov.uk) but should NOT be used until 14 July 2010. Access NI will NOT accept the old (current) forms after 9 July 2010 and will accept applications made on the new form after 14 July 2010.
