As part of an ongoing commitment to developing priorities for youth, the Department of Education recently held a follow-up seminar and invited representatives of both voluntary and statutory agencies. A draft summary of the event has now been published and summarises the issues raised and the discussions which took place during the seminar.
The full record of the workshops will be used together with all information gathered as part of the Priorities for Youth pre-consultation stages to inform thinking on the development of the ‘Priorities for Youth Work as part of Education’, which will be subject to public consultation in early 2010.
The Department are inviting comments on the summary - if you have any comments, you can forward them to Christine Leacock by 18 December 2009.
