This year's conference was a follow-up to the 2008 conference "Empowering and Enabling"  where we presented the outcomes of a University of Ulster consulation with the voluntary youth sector on:
  • policy and strategy
  • collaboration/relationships
  • support/delivery/resources

The theme of 2009 was "Strengthening the Network" and participants examined a number of areas including:

  • Shaping the Future of the Youth Service
  • Support
  • Representation
  • Resourcing
These themes are further explored in the Conference Paper which outlines the background to each theme as well as providing a list of questions which were discussed by the Workshop groups at the conference.
